The Legend of the Black Swan, and The Lost Art of the Shamless Plug

Well, it is late for me on this night, and I’ve done it.

I have written, edited, sculpted, crimped, set, reset, and fiddled around with pictures, effects, noise and every other damn thing. They say old dogs can’t learn new tricks, but I’ve been working on it.

I’ve sent off two separate email blasts, fired off social media posts, and unloaded everything tonight, to pimp the cover reveal of my new book.

Yes, I finally sat down and got it done. For what good it does me, the cover of “Legend of the Black Swan” is out!

I hope you find it a nice one. Megan Arney, a dear friend did my last book, “How the Story Ends,” and she exceeded herself in coming up with the look for our new heroines.

I probably will not release this blog right away…I want to see what happens.

Do people react?

Will they be positive?

Will they be pissed off?

Will they wonder, “Who the fuck is this?”

I admit, there’s a lot of email addresses from years back on my oldest email account. Lot of these folks I’ve not seen in years. Facebook was only good for letting you know others were alive. It didn’t do much else for me.

But I feel it’s okay now to take some comfort, but also some joy in knowing that I will, as of March 31st, have unleased eight of my children into the world.

Eight books. Hard to believe my first was only 12-1/2 years ago or thereabouts.

The writing never stopped, the creativity never ended, and these stories keep coming out of me. My older life experience, those of the people around me, and odd visions, dreams, things I have had to do, just had to.

We write to save someone, usually ourselves, something like that.

I do hope, though, that this one breaks through with more than just the handful we see now and again.

I can’t tell you all that the book is about, because then you’d never read it. Suffice to say, coming of age, search for self, facing things, shedding what’s not needed, and being able to not only trust your true friends, but yourself.

And a lot of music, too. Music inspired me to write this book, but also my tribute to a whole series of genres done in ways no one could have imagined, and making them even better than first believed.

Here it is—on my social media pages, on the News/Events page, and here, we kick off a new venture, a new journey, and another tale to tell.

I hope you’ll sign on for this voyage with me.

Peace, Out.
